BRIONES ABAD

DESCRIPTION

Luis Ángel Briones, deeply in love with his land and coming from a family of winegrowers, began in 2010, together with his wife Carmen Abad, a new and modern winemaking project. His main objective is to explore the complexity of Tempranillo, the queen grape of Ribera del Duero. The passion and respect he feels for his vineyards is reflected in his wines, which seek to transmit these emotions to all its consumers. His wines, relatively new on the market, are already capturing the attention of the most recognized critics in Spain. The production of his wines is carried out following traditional and modern methods, with long macerations, controlled fermentations, and aging in French and American oak barrels. The racking is done following the lunar cycles, and the aging in the bottle is prolonged until the wine reaches its maximum expression.

VINEYARDS

The winery has two distinct vineyards: “La Tierra” and “El Clima.”

Vineyard “La Tierra” is located in Ribera del Duero and features calcareous soils and is farmed sustainably. Meticulous care of the vines, from planting to manual harvest, guarantees high quality grapes for the production of their wines.

Vineyard “El Clima” is located at a high altitude and has a continental climate with significant temperature swings. These conditions, combined with the age of the vines, contribute to producing grapes of exceptional quality, characterized by small berries and high acidity levels.
